W. does for recent history what Oliver Stone's epic Alexander did for ancient times.. Absolutely one of the greatest, most cringe-worthy movies I've ever seen.. 'W.' is neither coruscating nor edifying - but without the benefit of hindsight, it's probably the best we can hope for..
